Dominion Corporate Group’s (DCG) year-long partnership with Jersey FOCUS on Mental Health has been instrumental in developing all of the services that they deliver and in particular, in the production of the first Jersey FOCUS Carer Support Service information booklet, as well as helping to raise thousands for the charity.

Employees raised more than £22,000 during 2010 by undertaking a variety of fundraising initiatives including a successful grand raffle, cakes sales, a holiday bookshop and DVD club and bag packing. Some employees even donated their World Cup winnings to the cause. Stephen McCrimmon, Jersey FOCUS’ Carer Support Manager commented:

“DCG’s hard work, support and active involvement has helped change our carers’ lives and improved the support given to the loved ones of people with mental health problems in Jersey. The booklet, our first, has become an important educational tool and has been freely distributed to medical centres, parish halls, advisory bodies and all adult mental health departments.”
