The day that the retail branches and various departments of Isle of Man Bank, NatWest and The Royal Bank of Scotland International went yellow, proved to be a profitable one for Hospice Isle of Man.
Bank employees wore clothing and other items yellow in colour, or sold yellow merchandise such as sunflower badges and shopping bags at the branches throughout ‘Go Yellow Day’ on Friday July 30.and succeeded in raising £1,300 for the charity
A delighted Margaret Simpson, Chief Executive of Hospice Isle of Man, described it as a fantastic sum.
“It is a fabulous amount of money to raise from the ‘Go Yellow Day’– I understand all the branches were a symphony of yellow which I am sure looked amazing – well done and many thanks.’
Victoria McEneaney, Island Director, for The Royal Bank of Scotland International and NatWest in the Isle of Man, as well as Managing Director, Isle of Man Bank, who handed over the cheque, said that she had been impressed by the commitment shown by so many employees to raise as much as possible for Hospice.
